Using bookmarks

An HTML document can often represent several screen pages. At that point, it may become cumbersome to move around the document and locate information. AceHTML employs bookmarks to mark certain points on the edit window in order to locate the information easily and to access it quickly.

You can also use the shortcut CTRL+ALT+J+Number to insert a bookmark and CTRL+ALT+K+Number to go to the position of your bookmark (Refer to list of shortcuts).

To create a bookmark:

  1. Go to the line you want to bookmark.

  2. Click on the right mouse button to display the context menu.

  3. Click on the Insert bookmark option. The list of the ten available bookmarks is displayed.

  4. Select the bookmark with the number you want to assign.

Once the bookmark has been defined, AceHTML displays its identification number on the margin.

To go to a bookmarked line:

  1. Display the context menu from anywhere on the sheet.

  2. Click on the Go to bookmark option. The list of available bookmarks is displayed. The bookmark numbers that have not been assigned yet are displayed in gray. Only the assigned bookmarks are seen in normal characters.

  3. Click on the bookmark where you want to go.
The edit window relocates to the designated place.
